Acorn Pre-School Aims:-
Building trusting relationships with parents/carers and families in order to support development of secure attachments between children and staff, enabling children to settle quickly and enjoy making the most of the Pre-School.
Encouraging self expression through a range of media, activities and events including singing, signing, dance, art and physical activity as well through speech and communication.
Following the Early Years Foundation Stage through fun and stimulating activities based on the children's own choices and interests together with some adult led activities and in-put from parents and carers.
Providing an environment where children feel valued and respected.
Supporting children to communicate and negotiate with peers and develop an awareness of others, their needs, as well as being able to identify and communicate their own needs.
Nurturing each and every child's unique personality to shine with the support of caring, inspiring and creative adults in an environment where they feel safe, secure and able to be themselves.
Exploring a culturally diverse curriculum which takes into account and encourages the uniqueness of children and families.

Acorn Pre-School is a long-established, non profitable setting in Stubbington Fareham, Hampshire.
The setting has been operating for in excess of 30 years, we operate in the main hall and two smaller rooms situated in Holy Rood Church.
We strongly believe that each child is unique and full of potential, we support all children to develop a positive attitude to help promote themselves in all areas of learning, in their own way through making:

We are registered with ofsted.
The setting have a close link with both local schools and we often have children attending from outside the area.
Our setting provides a huge range of resources and equipment to support and promote all areas of learning across the Early Years Foundation (EYFS)

Acorn Pre-School is open term time only and operates on a session basis, children can stay all day.

How We Help
Children can start at the setting from age of 2 years but are liable to pay an hourly rate which is currently £4.75 per hour (this is reviewed annually and parents/carers are informed of any increase in advance)
